Summer Drama Program

The Neuse Little Theatre Summer Camp was established in 2005 to address the community’s need for education in theatrical arts, both onstage and backstage. Ruth Mills led the camp from its inception until 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted the camp in 2020 and 2021. During this period, Ruth retired to the mountains. Patsy Castellano, who had been Ruth’s longtime assistant, succeeded her as the camp director. The program continues to develop, with the goal of educating future theatre professionals.

Summer Camp 2026 was offered to last year’s campers first and was full almost immediately. We hate that we filled up so quickly (before January was over) but we are trying to plan for the future and find ways to make theater and camps more accessible to more people in the future.

We are pleased to announce that there will be a summer camp at Johnston Community College for ages 12-19 and will be held July 6-17 from 9am to 4pm.
